Exceptional Journeys is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit special needs community center that provides skill building programs for adults ages 18 and up. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive community where individuals of all abilities is valued and no one is left behind.

As we continue to grow throughout Washtenaw County, our vision is to create programs nationwide, opening doors, strengthening communities and proving that every journey has potential to be exceptional.

One48Properties partnership with Exceptional Journeys

Exceptional Journeys is excited to announce our partnership with One48properties. One48Properties LLC exists to develop and maintain supportive housing environments for adults with special needs. Through compassion, accessibility, and community partnership, they aim to enhance quality of life and promote independence for every resident served. STAY TUNE for more information!

Alumni Prom WISD

Previously known as the WISD Alumni Prom is now a community gathering for adults ages 18 and up hosted by Exceptional Journeys. We plan to keep this amazing Prom going each year and look forward to sharing more memorable moments with our community. Stay tuned for dates and upcoming events! University of Michigan Internship

Exceptional Journeys proudly serves as a learning environment for students completing internships and gaining real-world experience supporting individuals with special needs. This partnership helps train the next generation of professionals in social services, psychology and community development. Skill Building Day Program

Washtenaw County Community Mental Health Through our contract with Washtenaw County Community Mental Health, Exceptional Journeys provides medicaid funded skill-building services that empower individuals to develop independence, life skills, and community connections. Our skill-building program provides vocational training and life skills development to help individuals gain independence and personal growth in a supportive environment, open Monday-Friday from 7:30AM to 7:30PM.
